Stanley Cup Odds: The NHL season is nearing its end, which means there’s still time to locate Stanley Cup value.
The online sportsbook Bovada has the most up-to-date Stanley Cup odds for the 2021-22 season. Throughout the season and playoffs, they will be updated regularly.
The Colorado Avalanche is the only team having +350 Stanley Cup odds, followed by the Florida Panthers (+500), Calgary Flames (+800), and Toronto Maple Leafs (+900).
Here are the Stanley Cup odds for all of the clubs currently fighting for a playoff berth and a chance to win it all in the 2021-22 season.
Andersen’s leg/knee injury will be re-evaluated this week, and it’s unknown whether he’ll be ready for the playoffs. So, for now, we’re crossing our fingers that he won’t be gone for too long.
The Hurricanes are as good as any club in the Eastern Conference, and they’ve been a good value at times this season. And, while we like them at +1200, we wouldn’t gamble on them until we have more information regarding Andersen’s situation.
The Blues are now fourth in the Western Conference in points percentage, have a terrific home record of 26-9-5, and have a championship pedigree that no other team in the conference can match.
Ville Husso, who is sixth in the league in save %, is also providing outstanding goaltending for the Blues.
+1800 is a reasonable price for a top-four Western squad. However, we liked them more at +2800 a few weeks ago since there are concerns about how well this team defends, which might be a fatal flaw in the playoffs.
We’ve been on the Wild for the majority of the season as an excellent value bet in Stanley Cup odds, and their late-season transactions have further strengthened our case.
Marc-Andre Fleury of Chicago, rugged winger Nic Deslauriers of Anaheim, and defender Jacob Middleton of San Jose were all acquired by the Wild.
All three have been key for the Wild down the stretch, and we like their value at +1600 given Fleury’s huge boost in net and the Western Conference’s weaker road to the Stanley Cup Final.
The Wild are going all-in this season, with the buyouts of longstanding stalwarts Ryan Suter and Zach Parise adding a ton of dead money to their salary budget for next season.
The Flames, who have been one of the hottest teams in the league over the last two months, demonstrated their commitment to winning by moving a top prospect and a first-round pick to Montreal for veteran sharpshooter Tyler Toffoli only weeks before the deadline. They then added Calle Jarnkrok, a dynamic forward from Seattle, and added a few depth players on deadline day.
This squad is all-in, and we’re all-in as well, with +800 Stanley Cup odds in the Western Conference’s weaker division. The Flames have swept the Pacific Division and will very certainly face either Nashville or Dallas in the first round.
The Flames are playoff-ready thanks to their smothering attitude and one of the best goaltenders in the league, Jacob Markstrom, as well as their top line. Anyone, including Hart Trophy contender Johnny Gaudreau, can score.
In terms of points percentage, the Flames sit third in the Western Conference, and while we liked them better at +1600 a few weeks ago, +800 is also a good option.
The oddsmakers release their lines on each team’s chances of earning the gleaming championship trophy before the hockey season begins. You’d be placing a futures bet if you placed a wager any time before the Stanley Cup Final. This is a wager on events that will occur in the future. For example, you may bet on the Detroit Red Wings to win the Stanley Cup in September but not see the results until the playoffs.
